Denali is also known as Mount McKinley, its former official name is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level.
On June 24, 2015, a survey team led by Blaine Horner placed two global positioning receivers on the summit to determine the precise position and elevation of the summit. The summit snow depth was measured at 15 ft (4.6 m). The United States National Geodetic Survey later determined the summit elevation to be 20,310 ft (6,190 meters).
Many of our historical Mountian Survey Markers are deteriorating. Where possible I am reconstructing the original designs so we can enjoy them in our homes and preserve the historical values.
Please note that these are natural slate coasters so the edges and surface of the coasters will vary from coaster to coaster.
